How does it work?

It has been proven that acupuncture has a healing affect on the body, and is especially helpful for pain and other conditions. Although there are no definitive scientific answers to how acupuncture works as of yet, it is said that acupuncture has an affect on pain receptors. The body is electric and acupuncture needles affect how things “flow” internally. Dr. Brian Keown also hypothesizes that acupuncture works through the fascial planes in the body.

What can it treat?

Acupuncture can treat a wide variety of conditions and symptoms. The exception is traumatic injuries and serious illnesses*.

Acupuncture can be an alternative medicine, but it is also an integrative and supportive medicine. It can be used to treat anything from chronic and acute pain to allergies, headaches, digestion and sleep issues, or fatigue. The list is endless! Acupuncture is also great for relaxation, mental clarity, and balancing the mind, body and spirit.

*Acupuncture can help support the healing of these types of injuries after initial treatment is provided, but will work in conjunction with your medical doctor’s care.
